Wiley X
Wiley X was started in 1987 by Myles Freeman Sr., a US Army veteran, and builds eyewear for people who need it to survive contact with the world. The company is headquartered in Frisco, Texas.
The signature detail is the removable Facial Cavity Seal, a foam gasket that closes the gap between frame and face against wind, dust and debris, then pops out when you want a normal-looking sunglass. CAPTIVATE is the polarized contrast lens line. Wiley X states that its collection meets ANSI Z87.1 and EN 166 impact standards, with the Youth Force range certified to a narrower frontal-impact spec, and a separate group of models tested to the MIL-PRF-32432 ballistic standard. Ratings vary by model, so check the product you are looking at. Non-prescription eyewear carries a lifetime warranty.
