Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Bayview Boutique ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and discloses your personal information when you visit bayviewboutique.com, make a purchase, or otherwise communicate with us. In this policy, "you" means the individual whose information we handle.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact details such as your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number.
  • Order information including what you bought, order numbers, and shipping details.
  • Account information if you create an account, including your username and password.
  • Customer support information including anything you tell us in an email or message.

Payment information

When you pay, your card details are collected and processed by our payment processors, including Shopify Payments and any other providers offered at checkout. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems. Those processors handle your payment data under their own privacy terms.

Information collected automatically

When you browse the site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information about your device and how you use the site, including your IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. This is collected using cookies, pixels and similar technologies.

Information from third parties

We may receive information about you from service providers we work with, including Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers, analytics providers, and marketing and advertising partners.

2. How we use your information

  • To provide products and services. Processing payments, fulfilling and shipping orders, sending order confirmations and tracking, handling returns and exchanges, and providing customer support.
  • To communicate with you. Responding to your questions, and sending marketing and promotional emails where you have asked to receive them.
  • To improve our store. Understanding how the site is used so we can make it work better.
  • For security and fraud prevention. Detecting, investigating and preventing fraudulent transactions, unauthorized access and other illegal activity.
  • To meet legal obligations. Including tax, accounting and record-keeping requirements.

3. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site, remember what is in your cart, keep you signed in, understand how the site is used, and in some cases to support advertising. Some cookies are necessary for the site to work at all; others are optional.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. If you block cookies, parts of the site, including checkout, may not work properly. Our platform provider Shopify also uses cookies to operate the store.

4. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. Companies that perform services for us, including Shopify for hosting and store operations, payment processors, shipping carriers, email and marketing platforms, and analytics providers. They may only use your information to perform services for us.
  • Advertising and analytics partners. We may share limited information with partners who help us measure site performance and, where applicable, show relevant advertising. Depending on where you live, some of this activity may be considered "sharing" or a "sale" of personal information under state privacy laws. See "Your rights" below.
  • Legal and safety reasons. Where required by law, subpoena or legal process, or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others, or to investigate fraud.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Marketing emails

If you sign up for our emails, we will send you news about products and promotions. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages such as order confirmations and shipping notices, which we need to send to fulfill your order.

6. How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining your order history, resolving disputes, and meeting our legal, tax and accounting obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it or de-identify it.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, and our store runs on Shopify's PCI-compliant infrastructure with encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have an account, please use a strong, unique password and keep it confidential.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request that we correct inaccurate information
  • Request that we delete your personal information
  • Request a portable copy of your information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of targeted advertising
  • Withdraw consent where we rely on it

You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, email contact@bayviewboutique.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may have additional rights under those laws. Residents of Nevada may opt out of the sale of certain personal information.

9. Children

Our site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Location of processing

We operate in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the date at the top.
